Orientation Presentaton

As a newly admitted student, whether you are an incoming freshman, transfer, or a former student returning (FSR), it is required that you attend orientation. During your session, our goal will be to provide you with information about the College of Engineering (CoE) to help you maneuver through your first semester here at USF.

What to Expect at Engineering Orientation

Orientation gives us the opportunity to meet with all of you to discuss:

  • College and Departmental Admission Requirements
  • Academics Policies and Procedures
  • Student Resources and Services
  • And General Questions you might have
At orientation, we also will briefly go over your curriculum, and assist you in the registration process. However, to receive more individualized counseling on your degree program, we suggest you make an appointment with your advisor.

How to prepare for Orientation

Before your engineering orientation, you may want to:

  • Clear up any holds that would prevent your registration. For example, Student Health Services for immunization, insurance, etc.

  • Bring your transcript from your previous school, in the event your courses were not posted in our computer system.

  • Make a list of questions you have to see that we answer them for you.
You may also review Engineering's Orientation information in a power point presentation through our website. Click on Orientation Presentaton.
