USF Outstanding Thesis & Dissertation Awards
 

USF’s Graduate School’s Tenth Annual Outstanding Thesis & Dissertation Awards Ceremony was held on February 1, 2008.

There were two outstanding dissertation awards given and one of them went to Tevfik Yucek.

Tevfik Yucek was a PhD student of Professor Huseyin Arslan in Electrical Engineering. The title of his dissertation is Channel, Spectrum, and Waveform Awareness in OFDM-based Cognitive Radio Systems.

There were six outstanding thesis awards given and two of them went to engineering students Daniel Rojas and Ryan Mabry.

Daniel Rojas was a master student of Professor Grisselle Centeno in Industrial and Management Systems Engineering. The title of his thesis is Revenue Management Techniques Applied to the parking Industry.

Ryan Mabry was a master student of Professors Nagarajan Ranganathan and Hao Zheng in Computer Science and Engineering. The title of his thesis is Gate Level Dynamic Energy Estimation in Asynchronous Circuits Using Petri Nets.
