The EAS has received USF's Outstanding Alumni Society Award from the
Alumni Association four times in the last eight years. Through its activities, the EAS provides opportunities for USF
alumni to reconnect with their alma mater, network, and support student
scholarships and programs.
The annual Bull Session, a networking event, brings USF Engineers
together and has featured such guest speakers as USF Athletic Director and NFL
Hall of Famer Lee Roy Selmon, and Engineering Dean Louis Martin-Vega.
The EAS hosts Career Symposium , and provides students an opportunity to
interact with engineering alumni representing a wide array of engineering and
non-engineering careers. Tailgate parties give alumni a chance to
socialize before exciting Bulls basketball and football games, to meet Rocky
the Bull, and to hear the Herd of Thunder Marching Band. Bull-arney is a
celebrity waiter dinner with our own faculty and alumni serving as waiters.
Bull-arney has also served to provide over 40 scholarships to engineering
students.
Faithful to its mission to enrich the educational experience of engineering
students, the EAS also provides grants to student societies for many activities
such as competitions at regional and national conferences, and presents the
annual Outstanding Engineering Senior Award.
