• Start the program from the Start menu. Start>Programs>Multimedia Tools>Adobe>Adobe Photoshop CS.

• Start a new scan by going to File>Import>WIA-Hewlett-Packard Scanjet 5470C.

• Click on "preview" to see what is on the scanner.

• Click on "preview" to see what is on the scanner.

• Select the part you want to scan and then click "scan".

• Next go to File>Save.

• Select the location where you want to save the file.

• Type in the name of the file.
• Select the format of the file (jpg is recommended)

• Click on "save" and then "OK" on the next message box.
