STUDENT SPOTLIGHT - John Shelton


John Shelton, doctoral student in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, has been awarded a 2007 GEM Ph.D. Graduate Fellowship. John is completing his second year in the doctoral program under Dr. Frank Pyrtle, Assistant Professor in the Mechanical Engineering Department. For his doctoral research, John is working on the heat transfer characteristics of nanofluids. In addition to the GEM fellowship, John has received a Sloan Minority PhD fellowship and a NSF LSAMP Bridge to the Doctorate fellowship. John earned both his B.S. and M.S. degrees from North Carolina A&T State University.
